Intensive preparations are underway on the stage of the Puppet Theatre for the new premiere for children entitled "I Am a Poppy Seed" directed by Anna Wolszczak, the premiere of which is planned for September 7, 2024.
The play is being created as part of the Przestrzenie Sztuki project.
ARTISTIC CONCEPT OF THE PLAY:
"I am a Poppy Seed" is an adventurous play for children about self-acceptance. Instead of trying to be someone else by force, it is worth being yourself and enjoying the little things!
A poppy seed escapes from a molecular cuisine competition, where the Cook and the Scientist plan to add it to the "perfect poppy seed cake". The seed feels that this is not his destiny, so he sets off on a journey in search of his own happiness.
The Scientist and the Cook set off in pursuit of the poppy seed, wanting to catch the fugitive, thanks to whom they hope that the poppy seed cake will be perfect. The journey makes the characters verify their life goals. Thanks to the pursuit of the Poppy, the Cook and the Scientist discover that the most important thing is not winning, but the process of creation itself.

The programme is financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and implemented by the Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute.
