Bunraku – is the most difficult puppetry technique in the world. Bunraku dolls are majestic, their size reaches up to 145 cm.
The puppet is led by three actors dressed in black wearing hoods on their heads in the first act. During the next act, the actors no longer need hoods, because the spectators become so engrossed in the play of the puppets that they do not notice the actors.
The stories played by the dolls are told by the narrator, who also gives voice to the playing dolls. Performances with the participation of bunraku puppets are intended for adult audiences. They are mostly tragedies. An interesting fact is that it takes up to 25 years of practice to perfectly control this type of doll.
